I unshielded all my alternator wiring in order to put in a 3g alternator. When I unwound it all I noticed that the white/black wire off of the big black plug does not go anywhere. . . where is this wire supposed to tie into? Mine was just wrapped into the two black orange wires...

Anyhelp???

The little white/blk wire that's on the big plug curls around and connects to the smaller plug that goes to the volt regulator. It doesn't travel with the rest of the power (blk/orange) wires. It just loops to the other plug.

Yep, when you view one of the harnesses, you'll notice it has 2 black/orange wires (these are the voltage/power wires wires - don't remove these and leave them unconnected).. The wire you are referring to is the stator wire and you must remove that 3rd wire from that harness and connect it to the white one that came with the alternator which will in turn plug right into the side of the alternator via the connector.
