Did I do this right? I hooked up a pressure gage at the T.V. port on the trans...at idle in Neutral I then set the pressure at aprx. 35lbs..This info on the process on got off various posts about how to do it here and else where, butthen I read LOKARs instruction ansd they say you need some sort of gauge block to slip between the plastic housing on the cable and the end of the cable that has the set screw...whats the deal, did I just do this for nothing and need to order this gage block...Please clue me in...

I think I would use a transmission builders adjustment procedure vs. a cable company. Try Lentech's web site for detailed instructions for adjustment.

And to think when I did it, I just kept adjusting it until it shifted nicely!

When I first set my aod up I had a guy from the local dealership come and set it up. He said they typically put a block of some sort under the throttle linkage (to get the correct throttle position) While it is in neutral. Then they set the pressure at 35-40 psi. This is a BIG difference from Lentech's instructions. Lentech recommends 3-5 psi at idle in PARK.

I'm not sure why you would need that much pressure at idle?

I finally set it up according to lokar, I called them and they told me that the gage blok they reference in the instructions is .275 so basically they said put a bolt or something that is .275 with a slot in it to slip over the cable between the cable end and the plastic piece and set it to 36lbs.. I did this and it shifts better, seems about right.. it took about a half hour to do everything..

The .275 then is essentially the slack in the end of the cable?
