On the coil wire, the actual copper terminal sticks out of the rubber boot. WTF?? It won't go on the coil like this. Do I need to cut it back?

You'll need to change the terminal. Use the socket type one from the longer coil wire. Pull the boot off, uncrimp the terminal and crimp the new (socket style) terminal on and slide the boot back on. Its a pain in the ass but its the only way it will work.

I just used the long coil wire they send and simply wrap the excess around the distributor. It works fine and looks ok.

Exactly what I did, they give you enough to hook into a fox style coil that is on the quarter panel. I guess it's nice if you need the length, but for me and almost every other SN95, its uneeded and looks sort of sloppy.

Next time get Anderson Ford Motorsport 8mm, they're custom fit for SNs and I actually felt a SOTP improvement over my FRPP 9mms (they have 50 less ohms resistance per foot than FRPP 9mm for the same price).

Yeah the FMS wires are so damn long they look like spaghetti in the engine bay. I just used the stock coil wire. I can't wait to get rid of them.

I thought I was the only one with extremely long fms wires. I almost thaught I had gotten the universal fit. I was about to order another set. Will the anderson wires work well with a S-trim? How well do those fit I am tired of the long sloppy look on mine and would like to order new ones.

Yeah, I used the long coil wire in the FMS package as well. I think I wrapped it around about hundred different things in the engine bay before connecting it, lol.

it takes some time, but you can shorten the wires. i actually just did mine over the last 2 days. i took between 2-4 inches off each wire and switched the boot on the short coil wire from the longer one. here are the pics of the result. 100% improvement.

IMO If you pay that much money for some wires don't you think they should fit good. I would have sent them back and got my money back and spent it on some good wires.
Shorting them looks hella lot better IMO

I think it would look kinda sh*** wrapped around anything.

just shorten them.....it is easy but somewhat time consuming. the results are well worth it and much bettewr than spending another $50 or so.
