Start with the easy stuff, have you checked the bulbs and fuses?

Did you hook the brake light switch up after the pedal swap?

Good luck.

FoxFan, you asked if there was anything from the swap that could effect your brakes. T.W. (Timewarped for short) pretty much spelled out why they wouldn't work.

The brake lights function soley based on the brake pedal. The car doesn't have to be on / running for them to work. You simply press on the brake pedal which inturn triggers the switch that is mounted at the top of the pedal and the lights will come on. You really need to look to see that your switch is hooked up!

agreed with the above. Check the brake pedal switch. Make sure it isn't out of adjustment and that it didn't get squashed or messed up during install. I they the switch itself is pretty inexpensive. If it came with the pedal assembly you bought then you might want to start there.

I would first push on the switch with your finger like TW suggested. If the switch is bad, you can adjust it till the cows come home and it wont matter. You might feel the switch contacts close (light click) in your hand as the lights come on.

Good luck.
