Hey all. I decided next thing im going to do is revamp my exhaust system. I got the car with the factory H-pipe removed (!!!), with just pipes going straight back from the cats to the mufflers. The mufflers are just some no-name turbo style mufflers. They sound ok, but I imagine they are nothing special.

So I decided to do away with my cats and go with a offroad X pipe, which would be no big deal if the factory system was still in, as I could just bolt it in. The problem is, whoever did the exhaust before decided to just weld it all together from the cats back.

So therefore im looking to replace the system from the headers back (it has MAC shorty headers on it).

Im going with UPR's x-pipe.

With the exhaust, im looking for something cheap. I also want to be able to open the system up to wide open (no-mufflers) at the track.

So I found this:

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product2_10001_10002_745027_-1

I like the ability to open these up, and the mufflers shoot-out posted here showed that these mufflers had the highest HP ability of those tested when opened up. I also think having them turn-down style with no pipes sticking out the back would be unique.

That being said, I've heard mixed reviews of these mufflers. Some say they are OK, some say to stay away from them. Obviously for the price I'm not looking for awesome mufflers, just some that sound good, and have the ability to be opened up. But likewise, if these are simply junk, I'd rather pay a little more to have something that is quality. Stay away or go ahead?

I was going to put Warlocks on until I got a great deal on some barely used SS magnaflows.

Figured I could open them up at the track and during parades. LOL

I loved them when my car ran.. Use to drive to work with them uncapped.. With them capped they sound good also.. My best advice though is put tail pipes on the sucks don't do turn downs on it.. You'll be really annoyed.
