...without it flushing my budget? lol. Putting the stock lower next to a truck lower intake is just crazy. The ports are much larger on the truck lower. How would you make a bread-box style upper intake? Or can you buy any upper intake manifold that doesn't cost over $300US? What I think is that I'll be stuck with the stock HO intakes for now since my money is tied up into the paint job and some must have parts I need to order soon.

EDIT: I also have a airgap intake with cast-in nitrous bosses, couldn't I machine these to accept fuel injectors and use after-market fuel rails, a 90 degree upper intake, and basically install the TB, and other stuff on that minus the EGR?
 
The truck lower has huge ports up top, but look at waht size they are at the head - tiny! The Holley upper is the only one I know that was made to fit that lower. Maybe a box style upper was made for it, but I'm not aware of it.
 
The runners of the truck intakes I have looked at did not have as much room for porting as the stock lower. Now, if you want to weld both sides of every runner and put lots of $$ in the truck lower, that's different.
