Anyway to roll odometer forward?

The cluster went bad in my 96 and I got a good used one with 39k on it, but my actual mileage is 81k. Is there anyway to either roll the new one forward, or just swap the odometers between the two? Its a 96 Cobra if that helps.

yep take the cluster out, then remove the odometer, then using a set of needle nose pull the brass washer back just a little, enough to turn the numbers freely...when done take a socket and tap the washer back down. Or just write down original mileage and new mileage and have some one notarize it
