I am looking at buying a Mark VIII electric fan and was wondering if it really matters what year it came out of? And if it does is there anyway to tell what year the part number PA66 - (GF+M) -38 ? Thank you!
Send me your email address and I will email you a picture of it. Thanks.BlackFox5.0 said:Give us the part number, whatever number you posted above, is not the correct one. It should start with and F, which stands for '90s, the number after the F denotes the year.
For Example:
F4 = '94

I thought the same thing thats why I asked, looks like a Taurus fan?BlackFox5.0 said:Not even close, the Mark VIII Fan is the one in the link above. It has a massive shroud. That one has none...

93-96 fans spin the fastest.
Then the grumpy old Mark 8 owners complained about fan noise so Ford changed the fan pitch in 97 and again in '98 to quiet it down. It cost them a few CFM.
I had a '93 and all my hearing works and i could never hear the damn fan. I don't get where the complaint was. Hell, that damn Mark 8 earned me my custom title. Oh i miss that car.
