AOD convert to manual?

I was thinking about what i need to do with my 95 stangs tanny. I might new to replace the AOD with a rebuilt one so why not convert it to a 5 or 6 speed and put the money there instead of the replacement AOD? Has anyone thought about this or have heard about thit being done? I know it would be some work but would it be worht it?

or you can find places that will do the conversion for you. I know Performance Mustang in Houston charges $2000 for the conversion, all parts included. Thats probably cheaper than a new AODE.
