ok i changed my aod fluid, gasket, filter, and pan ..my aod is only a year old since rebuild and the fluid that came out was nice and red.not burnt or black...
anyway..i def. have the fluid over the fill mark..and ONLY when i first start it up..after it sits for awhile..when i put it in gear it will grab for like a sec and then just rev!? almost like when you push the clutch in..it doesnt go anywhere..then if i keep giving it gas it will eventually grab..i almost got stuck on the highway pullin out this morning...but after u drive for a min or 2..its totally fine and never does it again...sometimes...if i pull it down into 1st real quick..it will actually stall?? what the hell is going on??

silly question, but was the car warm when you checked the fluid? That REALLY sounds like a low fluid issue.

lol yes it def. was..i checked it a few times..yea i kno it does sound like low fluid ...thats why i think for some reason...i missed a gasket on the filter..would that do it? do you think its ok to drive for a couple days until i get to dropping the pan again?

but the fluid is def. not low...let me tell ya this..if the flid level on the dipstick is exactly at the top of the crossmark..it willl slip real bad...if its over that mark by like and inch or so, then now its just slipping once or twice at warmup...its gotta be the filter or something..

in your initial post, you said you changed the 'pan'? Is it a new pan? More shallow?

Doesn't sound like something that would sef destruct over a couple days, IMO.

If I remember correctly, the square port does have a gasket and I believe it was cork. May be wrong but it does seem to be in my brain somewhere. I can't see that being the problem but worth a shot.

there is a gasket that goes from the filter entry into the valvebody...then there is a gasket that goes from the other part (where you can see the gauze exposed...it sounds like a low fluid issue

You may have seen my post yesterday about checking the fluid level in mine. I discovered something last night. There is another line that someone made about an inch or so above the crosshatching on my dipstick. Possibly the dipsticks are slightly off like alot of the oil dipsticks are on these cars You did say it got better when you added more fluid. Did you notice where the fluid level was on the dipstick before you serviced it?
