While Im finishing up my last 2 months here in Korea, I was thinking about puting an auto with Overdrive in the car for better gas mileage. Was looking at Lentechs site and notice 2 Auto's that can handle 1000hp.

AOD Street Terminator Plus w/brake

or

AODE/4R70W Street Terminator Plus w/brake

Both are stated to handle 1000hp and they both cost $3245 + Brake

Whats the real diffrence if any?

Lentech Automatics-AOD/AODE/4R70W Products

If I was to go this route what whould I have to change from my C4 setup? Flex plate, Drive shaft length? Torque converter? SFI Bell housing?

Any info would be great.

If I keep the car, I plan on a little bit bigger Turbo and 100 shot of giggle gas.

Go to this site and you can do some research, thats pushing the o/d trans limits.
General Click Click Tech - Click Click Racing Forums
And as for me I stay away from lentech.

William,

Don't mean to change up your thread, but I have a Lentech 4R70W Street Terminator with transbrake and a 9.5" Lentech convertor (built for my turbo 331) that I am trying to sell. These are new in the crate. Contact me at killrbf4@aol.com if you want to find out more.

Yes, you will need to change converters and the bell housing will just have to have a blanket put on it for SFI approval. Otherwise, the driveshaft from a standard T5 or AOD is supposed to work with a 4R70W, but I do not know how that compares to your C4 set up.

Good luck!

Thank you Killrb for the offer, sounds like a nice setup.

But things have recently changed my mind, and I will be going with a Viper T-56. We just got rid of one of our three cars, and when I return in 2 months the Cobra will be my every day transpo. I have alot of money in the car, might as well enjoy it every day! Plus the .61 6th gear matched with my 3.27's will be nice for gas mileage.

I am looking for seats, Black leather from 94-98 Cobra's or the black/grey from the 2003-2004 Cobra's. Need 2 front seats w/rails and the back seat. Thank you.

Im not knocking or saying that lentech is a bad choice, the only thing that bugs me is the warranty. $900.00 bucks for a service fee + shipping is more than I put in mine when I built it including the 4r gearset and updated stamped drums.

I just wanted to make that clear so as no one thinks im knocking lentech trans.

That should make it fun!!! I was going to say put a 5 speed back in it, but your at the power level where it might not last long.
