I have a 66 Mustang with a 302 with an AOD trans. I am installing the aftermarket shifter rod kit so that I can use the stock C-4 shifter. My question is what type of nut goes on the selector shaft that holds the shifter lever and throttle lever on? I tried a regular nut and flat washer, but it tightens down the throttle lever to tight and it will not move?
