Im gonna have my AOD Rebuilt and i have a few ?

really not trying to go over board here... because i wont have the AOD for more then a year after the rebuild... Gonna put a stick in... but i dont have the time or place or help to do it where i live now..

gonna have a shop do it...

going to put in a 3000 stall or a 2400 just depending on prices
shift kit going in
and then just a rebuild on the AOD

now should i buy some of there parts?

like the converter and shift kit? how about buying a master rebuild kit and have them install it in the tranny?

just wondering if anyone has bought parts and have them install it? will they do it?

also what should i ask to have put in? heavy duty bands and clutchs? red? and a thicker O/D band?

i called and was quoted 750-850 for a complete rebuild i guess that includes stock converter...

yea rsstangs right, you can gather the parts on ebay, stangnet, corral for dirt cheap and buy a used t-5. I say do what ya wanna do now. You will be paying around 1200-1300 with the rebuild, converter and shift kit that you wont even like because you really want a 5spd.
