aod shifts to soon

using aod in street 89 hatch, race it some, motor works great but aod shift's too early about 4500. need it to shift about 5500. anybody know any simple mods to do this thanks !

one solution is a shift kit, the other is a valve body or even a manual on,orrrrr do a 5sp conversion, AOD FTL

AOD shuffle

or put it in 1st and change gears when you want it to

shift kit would solve it... i had the same problem

I did the shift kit, now i wish i went with the performance automatic valve body...for $189 you get full norm auto operation, or manual 1st to 2nd an 2nd to 3rd shifts.. next time i do any tranny work i'm getting this valve body

Lentech ha ha. It won't be 189 there, but they do make the best AOD stuff pretty much.

Yes, just go for the valvebody, dont waste time time with a shift kit.

Summit (the greatest company in the world) sells a Performance Automatic valvebody for the AOD. for about $200.

You could also try tightening your tv cable just a notch or two.

Lentech does make the best hands down, but they are more geared toward the high horsepower cars. The PA valvebody is good enough for the mild horsepower user.
