Finaly got my lx back, I had it converted from an AOD to T-5 cost me 1,500$ for all the parts and labor to get it done, over all I am pretty happy with how it came out and the car performs alot better. I didnt realize how much the stock AOD held the car back so if anyone is thinking of doing a conversion I say do it!! Would like to Thank all the post people have done this message board really helps out alot.

Did you go with a stock t5 or and aftermarket one? The price seems a little high, for a stock t5.

Oh man you're telling me, the AOD is horrible, I already did my swap awhile back. I hated when I was trying to haul ass at part throttle in first gear then it would shift to OD, and I never seen a tranny that shifted 1k rpm before the redline. Even my old A/T Escort would go to the redline, but it was mechanically controlled so that thing sucked at shifting too. The computer controlled A/T's I can live with, but I'll never buy another car with a mechanical auto tranny again.

Well with all the new and upgraded parts sounds like a pretty good deal.
