I used the box end of a wrench and my foot. Then I put never-seize on the bolts when they went back in.

What tool are you using?

You do know that these are 12 point bolts. don't you?
I think they are 12 mm.
If you are using a 6 point socket or an open end wrench it won't work!
And I put Loc-tite on them so theydon't fall out.
And they are usually TIGHT!!!

yes there is only 4 bolts, i think its a 12 mm or 1/2 inch something around that size and you have to use a 12 point box end wrench or socket. if there stripped then Good luck, Also put anti seize on them when they go back in.

Heat. Use a torch of some sort and heat up the flange part with the threads. Then, crank on the bolts. That usually works pretty well. Just don't burn the seal in the axle housing.

heh,

figured it out,
i was using a 1/2" 6 point socket and it just wouldnt work. i went to the local AutoZone (right down the street, no joke...like 4 houses away) and got a 12 point socket set. Using a 12 mm 12 point socket with a breaker bar did the trick... i was just about to give up to!!

thanks for your help!
