Hey guys i need some help with my AOD i have no forward gears only reverse ive changed out the tranny fluid and filter i dont no much about automatics i have a 90 fox lx
Did this happen after you changed filter and fluid or before? If after, I have seen many decent trannys go out right after a fluid and filter change. My buddy has a drain plug in his tranny and he drains about a quart a week and adds a fresh quart so he doesnt mess up his tranny by adding all new fluid to it.
It happend before i changed it but it was like water and stunk really bad oh and at one point it was grey and smoking so i think it finaly died ill probly just do a t-5 swap or have it rebuilt im not sure witch will be cheaper
in my own expieriences some of the valves in the valvebody have gotten stuck before. Have you been doing the AOD shuffle alot? Personally it sounds like you puked the tranny. Could be because the TV cable was set incorrectly. I would just do the 5 speed swap of get another AOD, do the epoxy mod, shift kit and a stall. You will like it
