I just did some searching but I could not manage to come up with anything that might resemble a tech article. I also checked the tech articles with no luck.

I plan on doing this swap pretty soon but I don't know all the parts I have to have. Aside from the bellhousing, clutch assembly, tranny, crossmember, shifter, ect ect. Anyone have a list of parts that is required for the swap? Do I need a new computer also?

One of my biggest question was about the car. Are the clutch master cylinder holes, shifter holes and such already there? Or at least patterned?

Pick up a Haynes manual and read up on removing an auto, and installing a 5-spd...that's how I did mine...not even sure Stangnet was around then. The computer should be swapped although I think one of the tuning devices available can be used to make the neccessary changes. Master cylinder lines???...the clutch is cable operated, shouldn't need to mess with that. The shifter hole is there, although I had to get the dremel out and enlarge it about 1/2 inch on the forward side of the hole. You'll have a hole in the firewall already, plugged by a large grommet to pass the clutch cable through. Hope that helps
Good Luck
Do some more searching...If I remeber right a guy on here that goes by kingdiamond did this recently, pretty sure in one of the threads was a comprhensive list of all the parts

do a search in this forum for my username and the search term swap. you will find all the info you are looking for. i have posted it many many times.

Thanks for the link. I thought the swap would be much harder than it actually is. Looks like its going to be a pretty easy swap.

I debated a 5 speed swap into my old camaro but the task was MUCH more complicated than this. Soon as I track down the parts I think I'll definetly do the swap. Thanks.

the swap is simple. the hardest part for me was changing out the pedal assembly. as long as you have a haynes manual, basic mechanical skills, and a decent set of tools you will be fine. as far as the camaro goes, i wouldnt even dream of trying it. just the fact that the entire back half of the motor sits under the firewall makes it look like a nightmare to do. if you have any specific questions on the swap once you get started let me know and hopefully i will be able to help.....
