I have an aode with a shift kit but its starting to shift funny. Like the 1-2 accumulator is sticking. And I think I want to get a better tranny. What is a good tranny and a good place to get one. I plan on a stall right away to. Thanks for any info.

Do a swap to a T5 or Tremec or TKO if you want a manual. Otherwise some good trannies are Lentech or Performance Automatic and Art Carr.

Try Art Carr. They have some good prices on parts.

1. Input shaft.
2. Clutch/band kit.
3. Diodes.

That's all you need to for the build up. Then for support, the converter, shift kit and cooler.

A local shop down here likes to use the stock tranny and rebuild, as opposed to droppin a new one in.

so your happy with the street cruiser? not wishing you would have went with the terminator? how is the shifting on it? I like it a little hard. I mite just be thinking over kill. I allready had the tranny rebuilt 30.000 miles ago under an after market warranty witch is over now.

Well for what I have at the moment the cruiser fits the bill. Plus I can always send it back for an upgrade if needs be in the future. The shifting is good, under light throttle it has a good soft quick shift and under WOT it has the hard tire churping shift every auto trans. should have. If you want it to shift harder you can always have Len calibrate the valve body that way, but like I said for what I bought my trans. for not catching second and third everytime doesn't bother me.

Well the way the vavle body is calibrated if you are taking it easy or so then it is just a really quick soft shift, but if you jump on it then it chirps the gears. Basically the more gas you give it the harder it shifts.
