Has anyone wired an iPod into their stang? I heard it's possible but am not sure how it would be done well.

I read an article on CNN about <a href="http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=8625670">this site</a> where you can get a free iPod just for signing up for a free offer. They're even trust certified not to spam you or sell your info. Pretty cool.

In a month or so Alpine is releasing an interface between many of their head units and the ipod that will allow you to stash the ipod anywhere, and control it from the head unit. And it charges the ipod at the same time. I'm waiting for that.

Awesome. I found out that they also have FM modules that you can use to broadcast it to an FM frequency. That would probably lose quality, though, and you of course couldn't control it from the head unit.

i just got a RIO Carbon(sorta an ipod mini, but better!) and i use an FM moduale and mine works great. its like listening to the radio with the songs you pick. i would go that way with your ipod

i know with pioneer head units that use the ipbus setup for cdchangers and stuff, you can turn on the auxilury channel and feed the input through it

I have a hard wired FM Modulator for my mp3 player. The quality is as good as the recording....
