Are 1/3/4 long tubes with a 3"collector too big?

I have Ported GT40p heads-5 angle valves, crower cam .468 .486 218/224 @.5, Ported explorer intake, 70 mil throttle body, and extra bolt ons. Would a 3" exahust be too big? Another thing, anyone know where I could get a reducer from 3" to a 2.5" collector? I dont want full 3" exhaust if it is too big, and I would hope that there is an easy way to reduce the collector size. Thanks

no since you got the heads and cam those headers would do just right. i have seen pep run 3" exhaust on a stock long block and they would lose because for them there is not need for all that pipe because they need the increased back pressure but you should be fine. but if you want a header reducer hooker,flowmaster etc. sell em just check out summit.

2.5 is more than enough for that car

3 inch would be to big. 375 hp or 347 and up would benefit. You are no where close to 375 hp so 2.5 would be fine. Just get 1 5/8 headers and 2.5 inch collectors. Unless you plan on using boost or spray or more cubic inches. 2.5 is plenty big.
