If i find a good dash(mine is ok but my lense on my guage is so aged you cant see through it.and it dont light up... I robably can replace the lense. but i wondering if i found any 87-93 4cyl or 8,convt... could i just remove the whole unit plug and play.... i would probaly have to sacrifice down to a 85mph speedo but it would be cleaner...
Are all fox dashes interchangeable...

87-88 are the same, 89 is the same as the 87-88 save the 140 mph speedo. 90-93 are different because of the air bag and other nuances. I tried to plug in a 91 cluster into my 88 and it wouldn't work right. The electronics are different. So, for your 91, you want a 90-93 cluster.

All dashes from 87-93 can be made to work. I put a dash out of a '90 in my '89, if you do a search you'll see some pics of how I had to mod the fuse box since they changed them in '90 due to the airbag. Easiest thing to do is leave the metal frame attached and just swap shells.
