Are Caltracs traction bars a good choice for the street?

Are Caltracs traction bars a good choice for the street? I have a 1970 Mustang with a 393 stroker motor and will need traction. Would the Shelby style traction bars work just as effective for the street?

One of the best part about the caltraces is they don't clamp onto your leaf springs. This lets them act normally around town. I don't think the shelby's would have a chance at hold your tires down.

I have been very pleased with my Cal-Tracs.
A little tuning is needed, but the results are worth the effort and $$$
