A lot of the misconception that these rotors do offer improved performance comes when guys swap their worn out stock brakes for a new set of pads and crossdrilled rotors. They they claim they were a huge improvement.
What they fail to realize is that ANY rotor would feel better compared to a worn stock brake setup. You could literally go and buy $15 autozone pads and $25 autozone rotors and notice an improvement on the initial drive. You would then swear that cheapo autozone parts offer better performance.
Usually you need to compare after the brakes are bedded in and have had a few thousand miles put on them. Then you'll see the true performance gains of a quality rotor/pad setup vs cheapo stuff.
