Are the AODE torque converter same as 4r70w's?

I might need to replace my torque converter, at the time I have also been thinking about swaping to a 99 mustang 3.8 4r70w transmission. Are the torque converter's the same

I was told by many that yes you can......Wes would know for sure.

It might not be the same, but it should work. If you buy an after market converter they are for aode/4r70w. I am using the same converter in my 4r that I had in my aode

For the final word, call Andre at Edge, you'll want to ask him what he can do for you on a converter anyways. He'll answer any questions/concerns that you have. Mine seems to be holding up quite well. a
