Are the side skirts for a convertible gt different from a hatchback?

Hey guys, I checked the threads on ground effects but couldn't find an answer as to why my ground effects wouldn't fit my lx. Then I just realized the ground effects I bought were off a mustang gt convertible... I guess they are different than a regular hatchback or a coupe?

A convertible started life as a coupe. Describe how the ground effects did not fit?

Ok... I just realized my dumb ass tried to put them on backwards....don't flame me too hard guys. I knew I'd figure it out eventually and shouldn't have posted, I was so tense because of stuff that's been going on lately I didn't realize what I was doing.

no offense but I think gt kits look like ass on notches.. but that's just my personal opinion.. it looks funny.

Convertibles did not start off life as notches. They never had a permanent roof installed. They only had a cover to keep the rain off as they made the trip from Ford to Cars and Concepts for the top installation.


BTW the pics in the mag it was scanned from were not high quality.

Those are the best quality ones I have. I no longer have the magazine or teh original scans. If you Right click, save as they get a little easier to read.

The pics really were that poor of a quality in the magazine.

When I tore the interior out of my 88 vert, I found a paint can lid in there that had a code on it for a cop car - still got it. It went to C&C.
