Are there any decent priced 315/17 tires out there?

I've got 2 anthracite fr500's 17x9's on the way I got for my birthday. Now for a little bit more I can get the 17x10.5 in the back instead of 17x9's, but I have four 275 sized tires which will be way to small for a 17x10.5 rim. But from what I've seen the 315 sized tires are expensive. I really don't want to pay $500 for 2 rear tires. So is there any out there for me that are decently priced and perform well.

Thanks
Josh

Yup, Sumitomo's are very popular for our cars with the 17x10.5's

then again you could always get Nitto DR's for $175 each.

It's a shame Sumitomos are the worst tire out there.

I recommend the bfg g-force kd's. They have twice the handling, and the same if not better life than the donlap sport 8000's.

Sumitomo. Let me put it this way. When I drive the tire actually wears the road down insted of the tire.

I like my Sumitomo's all right for street use. I have 315's out back. They hook pretty decently on the street. The one time I did go to the track they didn't hook worth crap, but I just had them put on that day, so that might not have helped.

They are a great tire for a daily driver. I had them on my 04 before I sold it, I got 20K out of them and had quite a bit of tread left. They were great in the rain and dry. I drive roughly 30-35K miles a year and they never failed me.

Sure they dont hook like the BFG or Nitto but those are drag radials you will be lucky to get 10,000 miles out of.

good post yea I have had two sets of these tires they are good tire for the street for the price and at the track I have an auto with 4.10's and hooked at stock pressure and ran my best time! but in a stick it is a little different! Great tire for the price every other tire is over twice that. Only thing is they aren't good in the rain from my experience with them!
