I had fun hanging out with all you guys & girls tonight. I look forward to alot more of it. This winter we can all do some mods to our rides and see if it pays off in Feb. Your car looks really nice, and Caroyln's mach 1 really surprised me that mo is BAD. I always enjoy meeting new people and making new friends...all of you seem to be really cool ! Can't wait to hang out agin!:chair: Brian Ivey

well now that you mention it, lets see what old man winter has in store for the red dragon....

SCT X-Cal2....on the way
Nitto 555R's....be here monday
McLeod clutch
MM LCA's
Kooks LongTubes
and hopefully a fully built rear-end for the spring: FRPP or Mark Williams 31 splines, eaton/auburn/detroit locker differential, welded torque boxes and axle tubes. i know im not making near enough power to necessitate all that, i just like having peace of mind ;) i've always wanted to know what it would feel like to launch at redline

Maybe we can do that BIG mod to my car you were talking to me about earlier tonight.. haha! that'd be nice.. but gotta keep that on the dl, if you know what i'm saying. :D

We should get something going sometime in Conway or something.. have the very first annual R & B Racing meet :rlaugh:

When I just had bolt-ons/373's/full exhaust on my car my best run was 11.59 @ 89.47mph. That was with a 2.08 60ft...almost in the 1.9x's. I'm sure dustin's with traction can get 11.5's for sure.

Mph can be affected if you have bad enough traction problems where you shift to early and bog or shift to late by holding it in gear to long. Just as well mph can be affected by different shift rpms and speeds.

I'm glad you all had fun, I wanted to go so bad and just be there hanging out:nice:

Feb. 12th is the next official t-n-t's...

I watched an 02 WS6 Trans Am Convertible do 11.3 @ 91 ... and it was an automatic no spinning off the line but not really launching. I figure I am less than 11.5 if you did that time without an intake.

First gear will not hook up on my car, got to work on suspension this winter and get the heads/cam next february. Also have to get a clutch since it slipped really bad on one run.

i'd go with a bit different gear.. like 3.73, since it's a 5.0L.. I figured the 4.30's would spin really bad

bah, I am going to work on the suspension until tax season and then get the heads/cam. Will get a clutch in between there also. I am really going to shoot for 9's out of a 302 n/a with just h/c/i/suspension

91mph is a bit slow even for the vert...probably had his t/c on (retards fuel/timing). That allowed for no spin but "no launch"...which is low mph.

My car is a bit lighter than yours being a foxbody.

are yo going to try to keep it fuel injected....... are you going to carborate it???

I really want to keep it EFI but Carbeurated is faster so I have heard (when you get that fast). So it is up on the table for right now, I am going to locate a 351 block this week. Hopefully I can score one for pretty cheap.

Plan is to build the motor, then when it is built just swap mine out in a weekend or something. I'm really pushing to get it done by next summer.. but I'm not sure. Depends on a few things.

How much would you pay for a 408 shortblock that has been 8.08 on a radial in 1000 ft.? on motor..........has been 7.75 on nitrous

Well, how much are you or whomever asking ? I'm sure it has been built to take a pounding so it has good internals. A lot of passes on it ?
