You guys need to PayPal 5spd GT for his advice and info. :)

Yes we do.. add RADIALKILLER to that list too.. Those guys give the best advice in the AR thread, especially when it comes to pushrod motors.. haha

Ask me about pushrods and i'll be able to tell you..... not a whole lot. :rlaugh:

I do know that a 438 will run 7's all motor at 1000ft tracks tho

Well, Shawn had a 302 build with Edelbrock RPM heads and a holley systemax intake, custom cam.. then he built the 351 with the VJ heads and intake. I know the 302 ran a 10 something but I never heard if he ran the 351 setup or if he even got everything straightened out on it because he was having a lot of problems. I heard it a couple times and it sounded good, but I dont know if anyone ever saw it run.. racing or dragstrip.

It was with the 393. 10.8 @ 97mph I believe. I watched it...yep, it had it's problems.

lol, thats a horrible time and mph for that kind of an engine. a 351 will do 9's pretty easy. I never heard much of his setup except the components other than that it never ran right.

Shaun's car needed a PMS or a Tweecer to tune it right. He just had a stock computer in it. Also, he didn't have the right cam in the car to make it run really good. I drove the car and it didn't feel like a built 351. The car had a lot of torque but he had too much gear in it. Another problem the car had was that it still had a stock t-5. Just my opinion.

ahh, ok. Really need a aftermarket computer to do that right I think.

A couple people have posted in here that I don't really know like yourself and cobra_mobile. What do you guys drive or your names ?

I drive the red 94 GT with the 05 GT symbols on it.

Yeah, obviously the PMS or twEECer would be a better choice. A t5 isn't hurting him...

What were the cam specs? If it was a custom cam it would be the "right" cam.

Properly matching components is a key point in making a car decent and making a car quick.

Do you own the baby blue 67?

He didn't have a custom cam in it and the t-5 would be too weak to launch hard off the line. He just didn't have the right combination of parts. The 393 also had to low of compression for a N/A car. I have the silver t-top at brian's house.

YOU FORGET YOUR CAR IS NOT SILVER ANYMORE...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I run 30lb injectors (no tune) and got 10.6 with not the most ideal settings. 162k on the bottomend. I guess I'm not familiar with your car...

Were growing...:nice:

The launch won't effect his mph (t5)...and I thought dustin said he had a custom cam. Do you know what cam he had in it?
