arp headbolts

does anyone know the torque specs on arp headbolts?putting heads on tomorrow any help would be appreciated.

your best bet is to call ARP.... dont overtorque the bolts

65 ft. lbs if you are using the ARP lubricant. Just did mine last week.

you didn't even specify what type of heads you have.... give good info. or don't give any at all

Well, for 7/16 302 head bolts, it is 65 with moly lube.

He already said head bolts, and so did I. As for Aluminum, Arp says 60, I never really think it makes a whole lot of difference, but whatever, its 60 or 65.

More like don't be a douche. I gave good info, it came DIRECTLY FROM ARP. What more do you want? Some people just seem to want to correct others... Make you feel important or something?

I've built many Honda/Acura engines in my day. I know, you can piss and bitch and moan all you want. People seem to vary the torque specs used on the ARP head studs on these engines all the time by as much as 10lb ft. or so. It seems to depend more on the engine builder you speak to at the time. Anyways, I digress... my point being that I have never heard of anyone having issues directly related to head bolt/stud torque variations as a result. If you want to claim to know all about fastners, then why don't you simply enlighten us with your knowledge instead of insult us? We're supposed to all be adults here.

If 5 foot pounds is really that important on head bolts, make sure you get your torque wrench calibrated as well...
