I installed a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch about 1,000 miles ago with no problems (easy street driving). Finally got it to the track 2 days ago and after each pass, I would lose A LOT of freeplay in my pedal. I kept giving it more freeplay with my firewall adjuster. After 4 runs and maxxed out on my firewall adjuster, I decided to call it quits with only 1/4" of free play left in my pedal. I went home and gave it a little more with my adjustable cable but there is hardly any more adjustment left in the cable (3 year old BBK quadrant/cable has worked perfect with my King Cobra and stock clutch!)
Is losing like an Inch of Freeplay normal when a clutch wears in???
I'm about to re-install my stock cable which is shorter than my adjustable to see if it I can get some more Freeplay out of it.
Anyone??
