I installed a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch about 1,000 miles ago with no problems (easy street driving). Finally got it to the track 2 days ago and after each pass, I would lose A LOT of freeplay in my pedal. I kept giving it more freeplay with my firewall adjuster. After 4 runs and maxxed out on my firewall adjuster, I decided to call it quits with only 1/4" of free play left in my pedal. I went home and gave it a little more with my adjustable cable but there is hardly any more adjustment left in the cable (3 year old BBK quadrant/cable has worked perfect with my King Cobra and stock clutch!)

Is losing like an Inch of Freeplay normal when a clutch wears in???
I'm about to re-install my stock cable which is shorter than my adjustable to see if it I can get some more Freeplay out of it.

Anyone??

There is something else wrong.

You shouldnt lose that much airgap. Yes you will lose some with clutch disc wear, but you shouldnt lose 1 inch in a day!

I know, I've never had this problem before, The clutch still works great and everything. I hope the the approx. 1 inch I lost wasen't 50,000 miles of clutch disk I burned off launching it at 4,500rpms...
