So I pulled into the lot last night trailed by a cloud of white smoke. I think the head gaskets are toast. I figure that maybe finally I should upgrade the heads. A couple of questions though...

-Since this is a '94, can I expect computer issues that will require a tune if I upgrade?

-I have the chart of gains for the different heads from a few years ago, but it might be outdated. What is going to be my best bang for the buck?

-I won't tell you how long my 5-speed swap took, it's embarrasing. I don't want to have my car down for weeks again. Think this is something I should take on or should I take it to a shop?

-If I take it to a shop, anyone know of good performance shops in PA?

Thanks!

head replacement is fun and there is alot of little things you have to make sure to look at torque specs some heads have to be torqued backed off torqued again ect I would say if you feel confident that you can do ALL that is necessary and study on what your going to do before you start cause it can be very costly to take that thing to a shop on a tow truck and then find someone that will finish a half done job other than that Id say there are some plus' and negatives to head selection there are some good company's out there making good reliable power for a decent price patriot is one also if there is a decent automotive machine shop around you they might could rebuild your stock heads and build some respectable power that way (the ultimate sleeper look well hopefully I've been some help enjoy have fun Jody
