..SO what does it have to do with what rpm a cobra becomes a cobra?

You tell me? I wanted to know at what rpm did they open up?Not trying to kick a dead horse just have some honest questions..............jj[/QUOTE]
And like i said before the FR500 intake was on a PROTOTYPE car .So when it opens up is REALLY gonna be hard to find out unless you have one of the intakes.Or the prototype itself.

Why all the harp on a FR500?You first question was what rpms does a cobra become a cobra.NOT at what rpms does a FR500 intake open up.

Two different questions.

BUT it was a prototype car and very few peaple will ever use that intake on a street car

So why would someone use it on a race car if all it does is promote low end power/or torque?,,,,,,,,,,jj

Because it flows more air and is one of the only LEGAL intakes allowed in the races like factory stock..

But again this question has NOTHING to do with the intial question you asked. So it wouldnt be a bad idea to get to the point ...

Not if you read my first post! I know that was the title and I corrected the question so let's just get passed the bull****. And if you think about it my question does apply to the 96-98 cobras.Thank you................jj

Well for my own sanity and SOME of my respect back I would like to clarify what I was asking. After digging up the artical I read, it was talking about the "IMRC" and how that changes at certain rpm's on the Cobra's it came equipt with.

Here I quoted myself...Re-read this part of the question...........jj

Well you have your answers so what more do you want.
And like i said before even though the FR500 intake is SIMILAR to the 96~98 cars it is cable actuated and being that is on a PROTOTYPE car ,no one realy knows when they open up.But ASSUMING the similarites i say around the 3500 rpm range.
