I just got a quick question. Do you guys ever get tired of driving a stick? My dad tells me i don't want a stick because ill get tired of it in traffic Etc. Do you guys get tired of yours?

actually i do it gets just annoying after awhile plus my clutch is just about goin which makes it even worse but i do like the 5 speed cuz you can basically have power on demand

Only when i am sleepy and in traffic. I love having a stick and I think you loose some of the sports car experience with an auto.

Gotta ask yourself what percent of the time you sit in stop and go traffic, but even with that....its what cjman says.....yawn.

Auto's are boring...plus it limits the number of people wanting to drive your car. (Read as follows: Your girlfriend, little sister, kid brother, cousin, neighbor, friends with 4 accidents, and others wont ask to drive it when they find out its a stick)...of course some of that list may be able to drive a stick so just tell em NO.

On Topic...its great. Have owned mine for 4 yrs and drove it everyday in Los Angeles traffic. 405, 10 etc and even in stop and go traffic I would not give it up for an auto. Just my 2 cents.

Well you'll get sick of an auto 5.0 when it won't go anywhere fast. You'll also get sick of ricers passing you in an auto 5.0.

i love my 5spd but im gonig to get a built aod with manual valvebody and transbrake =D.....ill miss it though but sometimes i wont.

edit ..stock automatics are not none for much at all =p

not really. After a while its becomes second nature and you dont ever realize your doing it. The only time it got annoyin whas when I has to drive to work every day in BAD traffic, I was on and off the clutch every 2 sec. It suced cuz i had a really stiff clutch. By the end of that summer my left calf mussle was like 3 times the size of my rite one

Everyone told me i'd hate it too and I'd wish I didn't have it...I love it. Like others said, it becomes second nature and you don't even think about when to shift, what gear to go into, etc, you just know it. I wouldn't have an auto stang or performance car period. I once raced a fox w/ heads, cam, intake, 3.73's, headers, etc in my stock 5.0 and smoked him by like 4 or 5 lengths because his was an Auto.

You might get sick of it, it's really whether or not if you like driving a stick not. When I bought my car, I couldn't even drive a stick very well, but I had driven my bro's ranger 5 speed and I knew I wanted a 5 speed stang. Everything has it's disadvantages, but I think, in this case, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages...

Good thing you came and asked on here first. You have to take in account who is telling you you'll get tired of driving a stick. What do they drive, how do they drive? For the A to B driver who rather have more cup holders than cylinders, an auto is a plus so they can drink coffee, talk on the phone, do thier makeup, and maby even read a book.

A built auto is nothing to be compared with a stock auto. I wouldn't mind a built C4 with a 3K stall, trans brake, and a manual valve body. But a stock slushbox auto, NO. I like to drive my car, and that includes shifting.
