Has anyone ever used an Audi intercooler before. I found one and it looks like it would fit right in front of the a/c condenser in the air dam. The dimensions are 13 1/4 by 7 1/8 by 3 1/2 with 2 3/8 diameter inlets and outlets.

Well I bought it anyway. For ten dollars, it will get me to where I can hook up my ACT sensor and get my LA3 swap going. Hopefully later, I can get an Isuzu or a Starion intercooler for it.

I have used them before. I had mine laying flat in front of the pass tire where the charcoal cannister was. It was nice but I ended up chasing a cat accross the lawn and ran over the IC. (naw I hit a pot hole) it sounded like a good story. The only problem with mounting in front of the rad is piping unless you get a smaller rad.

Well, I figured I could remove my A/C condenser and find some hoses to route to it. Did yours work well with it in front of the tire? What did you do with the charcoal canister, and one more- how was it laying, long ways with the radiator or the length of the car?

The charcoal cannister was relocated to the corner of my garage. Now back in place with the new IC set up. The Audi IC was laying sideways withthe end tanke behnd the fog lights and the inlet outlet just sticking out into the engine compartment. It audi IC is nice because it has the port for the bypass valve. That was the whole reason why I tried it.
