I'm looking at buying an engine and tranny set up from an 03 GT. It's a 5 speed but my car is an auto and I have a few questions.

1) Will the 03' block mate up to my 98 A/T
2) Can the computer be flashed to work with an auto tranny?

I'm also considering installing the entire 5 speed set up, how difficult is that?

installing the 5 spd setup isnt hard at all, the pedal assembly is a PITA to install, but the trans it self isnt bad

Reason being is I have a line on an 03 engine with 22k on it for 1800 bucks with everything from the engine and trans to the ECU wiring harness and gauges.

well its really easy.. if you have the whole assembly together, its way easier.. just drop the whole eng/trans in together.. you will have to modify the hole where the shifter comes through slightly.. either bash the floor up a little when the tranny is out, or cut the whole like 1/2 inch bigger.. either way, but the shifter just taps the floor alittle, dosnt affect shifting, its just annoying... the only trouble you will have is taking the dash out, to put the pedals in, and that is by no means hard. its just time consuming as all hell..

i thought you meant pull the auto, and install a 5 spd, wich is more complicated, removing trans cooler lines, etc, but if you have a 5 spd/eng combo.. go nuts
