Auto Shift Knob installed with no OD switch...how to add switch?

so i lost the OD button with my new shift knob....didn't think I'd miss having it but I do....

What are my options? I don't want to replace my current knob with another...so can I just find the wire and install some sort of toggle or something??

Other than that, I would think you could trace the wires back to the center console and splice in a switch somewhere.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but that switch is nothing more than a momentary interrupt. You could use one of several style switches and place it next to the cigarette lighter in the center console area.
