efi 5.0's seem to like copper plugs. some people have idle and high rev issues with plats (plat does not conduct nearly as well as copper).

Agreed. Last year I installed platinum plugs. 500-600 miles afterward; i developed a higher rpm miss. I found dozens of threads of people with platinum plugs & issues. I swapped in regular Autolite #25's & the problems went away....

exactly. often the idle is a bit low with plats and people get a high speed misfire (often around 4K-4.5K rpm).

Never use platinum plugs unless the motor calls for them or came with platinums from the factory.

You want either the regular Autolite 25's or Motorcraft ASF42C's.

Don't use autolites Get the motor craft oem copper plugs. The specs are tighter.

Motorcraft plugs FTW. Never had such a smooth running engine til I used Motorcraft plugs. Forget Autolites.. those things are garbage. Always ran into some kind of trouble later on whenever I used those. Not enough copper in them .. if any, I would assume. Best bet, use what was meant for this engine.... after all, Ford makes them.
