Automatic shifter clicking

Hey guys, what's up!? I've gotta little problem here that is kinda annoying me. My car's shifter makes a clicking sound when I'm driving it. For example, let's suppose I'm at a stoplight and when I push the gas pedal and start running, the shifter just starts clicking like a total freak. Sometimes I just have to put my hand over it so it shuts up. What can it be the problem?

Did you install an aftermarket shifter? If so, i had a similar problem when i installed the B&M hammer shifter. The main structure part of the shifter ended up scraping against what looked like a counterweight on the driveshaft and made a very disturbing noise. I had to take it out and trim little off.
