Is there a video out there of two stock GT's, one auto and one 5 speed? I want to see the comparison. Also, are the 0-60 times between the two close?

No video is really needed, if both stock, the 5 speed will be slightly faster given that the driver is decent and doesn't misshift.

Biggest problem for the auto is the converter. Put the right stall in there and bye bye 5 spd.

I dont know I have a 2002 gt,auto, with a 2 1/2 x-pipe, spin (pro steets), stck tailpipes, kn filter, trimmed silencer. How fast in the 1/4 u think ill go. I live in Hawaii too. How much horses at the rear wheels? How much faster with 4:10s?

One things for sure, it's something that a good set of gears and torque converter won't solve !

Yeah, getting a torque converter is the first step for an Auto. Stock, auto GT's go low 14's (like 14.2-14.4) with a good driver. 5-speeds can go high 13's to low 14's(13.8-14.2).

It was so funny when one of the dumbass general interest mags (C&D, R&T, Motortrend) pitted the auto GT against the Monte Carlo and the Stratus RT. Some how the best they could manage was like low 15's. I am convinced that they are terrible drivers, hence the reason I hate those publications. How hard is it to drive an auto GT???

Yea, I saw that article too...I was like 'what the heck?' I've seen stock GT's run much quicker than 15's. Another thing that I am sick of hearing about from those general car magazines is about how bad the seating position is in the mustang. I have never had a problem with the seating position...granted i am not very tall (5'10") but my 6'4" friend said that my mustang is just as comfortable to drive as his 3-series BMW. Easy to assume ive given up reading those and just stick to the mustang mags

Seating position... And if I hear anymore how dated the chasis is in one of those reviews/comparison I am going to be pissed. That is always the first thing they say. I say stick with what works. I am glad that they are coming out with an updated chasis in a year so that they won't be bitching anymore. I also hate when the Mustang stomps all the other cars in the tests in performance and then it ends up losing. I mean WTF? Those magazines HATE mustangs.
I read one comparison between the RX8, the G35 Coupe, and an 03 Cobra. Guess what, the Cobra came in LAST. The RX8 came in first. They were like "Yeah, if you want power and neck snapping performance then choose the Cobra but it just wasn't as nice and refined as the other cars...etc..." WTF? Why are you comparing an incredible Muscle Car to those other two anyway??? All have totally different purposes.
