Cantslowdown said:Well a tunner help any cuz it will prob be awhile for the j-mod..

With a tuner, you can undo the mod. And you can keep adjusting the shift firmness as many times as you want until you find the settings you like. With the jmod, you're done. Unless you crack the transmission open again and almost do the jmod all over again.GREENBIOCH said:So what would be the difference in the J mod as opposed to firming up the shifts with a tuner such as the Xcal2? is there a difference? can you do both or is one better than the other, anyone with experience from one or the other or both i would like to hear from?
obviously a tranny cooler is required if doing one of these. or i would hope that that would be an item on your shopping list when messing with an auto tranny.

I did 3, then 1 without the jmod, then 2. Doing #3 first set me up when I got 4.10s and an offroad midpipe. I didn't need a SpeedCal or MIL Eliminators.TGJ said:If it was me, I would do in this order:
1) J-mod and Tranny Cooler, flushed and refilled with Mercon V
2) Torque Converter
3) Handheld flasher unit
