Axle and Locker Question
So I am trying to figure out what has been done to my car. I bought it several years ago from a guy who gave me documentation on what had been done to it, or so I thought. He didn't do the work on it, but had been taking to a new mod shop in St. Louis. Needless to say, as I have went to replace items I have found out that the mods that were supposed to be done were, but not always with the parts listed on the sheet that was givin to me.
So now my question, the car has a 5 lug swap with Licoln rotors in the front and back. I thought that it still had stock axles, and had the flipped Licoln rotors in the back, but now I have new 17 x 9 wheels (with what I thought was the right backspacing) that I am want to put on and they stick out to far. So I tore out the axles to measure them, I am suspecting now that I have Licoln axles. They measure just shy of 30 1/2". I am measuring from the front axle hub to the end of the shaft, is that the correct way to measure them??
I have been reading on here about axles.
Stock= 29 5/32"
SN95= .75" longer
Licoln= 1.25" longer than stock
If I am doing my math correctly I have the Licoln axles. Can some on please confirm for me.
I have a locker question too, but it will have to wait until tomorrow, because I have picts needed to post.
