Axle question on 95 cobra

I have a friend with 95 cobra. He was in an accident and the bent the rear axle. We need to find an in-expensive replacement.

I have axles from a ranger / aerostar I got from a junkyard to do a 5 lug conversion on my 93 fox, will these work?

If not, can I use an axle from a 95 V6 or 95 GT?

The Ranger or Aerostar axles will be a little short compared to the Cobra axles, so I'd go with the V6 or GT axles. They're the same part as the Cobra's.

Is there another ford of the same year that has the same axle? There rarely are mustangs in the local junkyard and when they do pop up, someone nags the whole rear end quick.

I don't know if anyone would really want the whole rear end from a V6, since it's a 7.5" carrier. The axles are the same as the 8.8, but the housing itself isn't and the carrier aren't worth a crap from a performance standpoint.
