Can I install just the axles in the rear housing without the centre section so I can bolt on wheels and tires for moving car around shop?
David.

Posted via Mobile Device I don't know about irs systems but with a solid rear the answer is no the c clips that hold the axles in are only big enough for the carrier and will slide most of the way through the axle tubes.

If this is an 8 or a 9 inch rear, yes you can put the axles in. You obviously won't be able to put the pumpkin in again until you take it all apart, but the axles bolt up at the flange. They don't use c clips inside the housing to hold them in.
