trying to fiqure out if i should get the better 28 spline axles from moser for my 9'' rear 3.50 posi, its a 69 mach1 408w c-4 full manual car, i was thinking of going 31 spline but maybe the better 28 spline will be ok for street car little strip, trying to save some time instead of ripping the rear out and rebuilding it from 28 to 31, but if i have to i will go to 31 spline but someone said the 28 from moser will hangle 500 ft lbs of torque, check out moser's website, just hit moser it will come up.

as long as you run street tires, and minimize the time you run slicks, you should be good to go with the 28 spline moser axles. one thing you should do is mark the axles with a good paint, in a straight line from the bearing to the splines so you can check the axles for evidence of twisting from time to time.

just found out on another site that a guy is running low 10's with his 66 mustang 408w with moser 28 spline axles with slicks, and pulls the wheels off the ground every time, should be ok for my street car i would think.
