Hey there,

I just got a new stang and was looking to put dual exhaust on my 6. Is there any good shops you all know of? I was thinking about either Flows 40 or side exhaust...anyone know how much either would be?

Thanx,
Abel

I live in Tucson and have used EXHAUST WORKS a couple of different times. In 99 when I had a v6 they made a custom duel exhaust for me for under 400 installed and recently they installed subframes for 75 bucks. I used the shop on broadway and Swan. Guys name is Rich.

Whatever you do don't go to a place called Scottsdale Muffler. I had a bad experience with them when I had my truck. I'll try and get back to on a good place I've had some friends tell me about a good place to go but I can't remember the name.

percman-- that would be great...just let me know whenever you get a chance, thanx!

Dark Knight-- Is mesa muffler a good shop? I have heard some things from both sides of the fence on them? Midas is right by my house, maybe .4 miles away...maybe I should stop in there, are the known for good work for a decent price? Where did you get your DynoMax at?

Apache Muffler is a lot better shop. They did a great job on my 72 mustang with customizing the pipes from the collectors back (including an h-pipe and dynomax mufflers) for $300 even. Definitely cheaper the Mesa Muffler also.

Apache muffler is located across the street from mesa muffler, and about 1000 ft west of mesa muffler on main street.

BTW don't ever go to midas. I've seen work from several of their shops and it's been horrid. They've actually damaged the car in one case by pounding in the frame and floorpans to get clearance to the pipes and another case where they burnt the carpet and several wires. I would never go to any of their stores.

I got my exhaust from mustangs unlimited..

I had midas redo the h-pipe on mine to fit the headers.. they did it for a good price.. guess it depends on which one you go to.. apache did the exhaust on my 68 years ago... they did a good job too..

Huh...well Midas quoted me 500 to do the full sytem: Hpipe, weld, A/T FLOWS. Decent price? I would think it's not too bad, didn't want to spend over 550, so it is in that category anywho.

When I'm not in the mood to do it myself, I've used Pro-Dyno. Best exhaust place I've seen, their work is top notch.

Hmmmm, is there a link for that Nik?

Also, I have a question too:

When you go to a shop, and they put an Hpipe on for ya', how do you know what kind you have? I mean you could have the MAC and have it not last right? Or the bbk, and outlast alot of shi+...do they use good ones or not?

I used meniek one time, they were all right. I also AMP one time. They both did ok. AMP just took way to long. I get really busy. Your best bet is to call around.
