Son you listen like my wife..barely..Stock heads will not flow enough to make use of the B. Valve springs on your tired old mill will not be up to the job of that cam..or the rockers IMO. Cam will take away the bottom end grunt..which in turn will make the car feel "slugish" on the street where low mid rpms are most seen. Stock cam is a great little pc..wait untill you upgrade the heads to do the cam, or you could end up with a sluggish combo with the only benefit being a lumpy idle. Should note I have a few aquaintances whom have had nothing but stalling issues with the B cam...not saying you will, but they do.

sorry fox, I know why you keep asking questions...but D makes a good point, the B cam will kill some of your low end-on the flip side of that, the 3.90's will put it up in the powerband really quick. The B cam is supposed to be good from about 1500-5000 or so, but with the stock heads, you'll be choking it up a little. and with the 1.7's you'll be pushing 0.512" lift...not a good thing on stock springs, even if the cam pulls to 5500, you might get a little valve float. If you've already got the cam though, go ahead and use it, if not, hold off for right now, and stick with the stock bumpstick...but make getting better heads a priority...at least a set of Thumper's, GT-40's or some Y303's.
I have the B cam in my 90 GT with 1.72 FRPP rockers with no problems. AN dI run 100% strock heads and intake. Even stock throttle body.
Power band really comes on around 3000-3500 rpm and pulls to about an indicated 6000 rpm (OEM tach is not very accurate up high, so not positive the real number). 3.90's will pull you through the low end just fine. I have 3.73's and they work great with the cam. 3.90's will work even better.
Stalling/idling issues are not the cams fault they are always related to some other problem with a cars idle control system.
You will need new valve springs. TrickFlow makes a kit for stock heads and it like $135 through Summit (BTW they own TrickFlow). The are perfectly sufficient. I've run them for 3 years now.
I could never say my car feels slugish as long as everything is at full normal operating temprature, as it should be if you are running it hard.
B cam here too. No idle problems just an awsome lumpy powerfull sounding idle. Yes have to keep revs near 3000 to make the most of the cam. 3.73 and other engine tweaks helped me forget about the slight loss on the low end.
If you have idle problems get and idle bypass air adjusting plate. Available through FORD dealers.
It's not going to be terribly slugish in the lower rpms, just slightly less than stock and the gears you have will more than make up for it. There is some debate about whether their is any more power or if it is just shifting the power higher into the rpm range.
I'll stear clear of that debate. But I will say that I highly doubt that you'll be disappointed.
