B & M shifters

I was wondering, do they make a b&m shifter for the automatic V6 or is there just the transgo shift kit? also if they dont, do they make an electronic shift kit for the auto? or will that get messed up after i add the chip?? (going to get a fordchip soon)

thanks

any good suggestions?

dont like the auto at all, not shifting the way i want it too, and shifts way too soon, have to have my foot in it too much to get it past 2500rpms while just normal cruzing.... not fun, and shi**y gas mileage :notnice:

Don't use a transgo or B&M shift kit...if you want a shift kit do the Jerry Mod. Jerry worked on our transmissions at Ford, i think he is now retired. If you go over to www.tccoa.com and click on technical articles then transmission it will give you detailed instructions on how to do the shift kit. I would only do his...he knows what he is talking about.

Well B&M does make an actual shifter for our cars but they only make an electronic shift kit whitch isn't that good in fact it just sucks. If you do want a shift kit get a superior or better yet contact Performance Automatic and order a street/strip valve body, It performs like a shift kit but is the entire valve body assembly. And finally stay away from fordchip, I know I have one but I got it before they started to suck. There quality and customer service has been at the very least atrocious lately. Contact Justin at velocitymustangperformance.com and get a SCT chip, best one you can get. Wait have you changed rear-end gears yet? If not save yourself the money and don't get the chip quite just yet. Wait till you make a big modification like new cam P&P Heads and intakes or a power adder.
