Hey guys its been awhile but been pretty busy and been saving for a new toy, I just picked up a new 06 CBR 1000RR and im actually the first and only owner it still had the red stripes and nipples on the tires. Im liking this bike it has very smooth power and is just a blast to ride. Its come a long way from my first love my 99 R1 But this cbr feels like Ferrari would compared to a old hot rod. Anyway see you guys at the coffee shop sometime and here's a few pics of my new ride View attachment 312987 View attachment 312988 View attachment 312989 View attachment 312990

Ya eventually it should see some track time but probably no 1/4 miles. I eventually will go to track day though to rekindle my old flame. Wright now im just getting a feel for it because I havent rode for about 7 years but I've had about 8 bikes ranging from 600's, 750's, 900, 929 and my r1 but im a little rusty. Never been on a track but did a lot of canyon carving in cali so I'll hit some twistys out here just to sharpen my skills. I'm definately far from a track rider but I usally burn the edges of my tires up to were they turn nice and purple and wad up a little. I guess you can say im a average rider with a lot to learn but well seasoned

Same here, I really enjoyed getting together again and thanks I really like my new bike and the Cobra does live because I got pulled over again going home from sb for no licence plate, he said he wanted to make sure it wasnt stolen but after he checked me and the bike out he let me go but it brought back memories of my cobra for sure and also seeing yours DAM that thing is beautiful , eye candy at its finest . Alan that would be so cool if you got a bike we could do some cruising together and hit the coast or theres some really nice areas I heard that are great for bikes. Now next weekend I hope you'll spend another hour looking at some more bikes and buy one thats what happen to me. They have some really good deals over at beaverton honda, they sell YAMAHAS SUZUKI and I even think kawasaki. They had some new bikes there like 1500 dollars off a 07 R1 FOR 9900.00 A NEW O7. I was there getting a backpack and a dew rag and was checking them out. They have some good deals were I bought mine to.Anyway hopefully we can hang out next weekend again, talk to you soon.

Sweet new ride Ed! You talked about buying one of those for a long time. You still have that German hot rod? Been eyeballing one of those lately.

btw we need to get together for a group ride, I just got back from german town I think it was at the end of Cornelius pass. What a blast but when I hit the twistys it reminded me I had a seven year layoff and how rusty I am. But its coming back to me slowly but surely lol. Those roads in areas are a little bumpy and even saw and felt a little gravel glad I was just cruising though, I always take a bunch of passes so I know whats on the road and on the other side of the turns before I pick up the pace. Next time i'll hit it a little faster, but it feels good to be back in the saddle

Let me know if looking at one i'll make ya a great deal so I can by a Honda and have bookends Actually im really happy with it im getting around 24mpg city and combo around 30mpg and 300 wt she skoots and handles so good , but that ash tray has some dust in it so it might be time, you know me lol .
